Hat Burning Workshop FAQs

About the Workshop

What is a Hat Burning Workshop? Our Hat Burning Workshops are hands-on creative sessions where you’ll design and burn your own Akubra-style hat using professional pyrography tools. Each workshop is beginner-friendly, fun, and fully guided from start to finish.

What will I learn? You’ll learn how to safely use a wood-burning tool, transfer and position designs, and apply embellishments to create a custom hat that reflects your personal style.

Is this class beginner-friendly? Yes. All Eternity Creative Co. workshops are tailored for beginners. No prior experience is required — just creativity and curiosity.

About the Hats

What are the hats made from? Our hats are made from a durable, high-quality blend of wool, cotton, and polyester — ideal for both burning and long-term wear.

What size are the hats? Hat sizes typically range from 54cm to 62cm and are adjustable to these sizes. Your instructor will assist you in selecting the best fit during your session.

Can I choose my hat colour? Yes. A range of hat colours will be available to choose from on the day of your workshop, subject to availability.

Is the hat included in the price? Yes. Every participant receives a hat to burn and keep, included in the ticket price.

Can I bring my own hat? You’re welcome to bring your own hat if you prefer. However, please note that a hat is still provided, and the workshop cost remains the same whether you use your own or ours.

Are the hats suitable for burning? Yes. All hats provided by Eternity Creative Co. are pre-selected for material quality and safety, ensuring optimal results when using pyrography tools.
